Another valiant effort by a much changed 3s team this week. A few debuts and returns from injury alongside some of the usual suspects tells the tale of what we are up against this year in a tough league filled with first teams that us oldies can remember playing at first team level back in the day. A measure of how far Wirral club has come in relation to others in the region, for sure.

Despite being right in the game until late in again, we struggle to find a way to win this season so far. Ultimately, Birchfield managed the game better than us and were worthy winners, with little errors at crucial times costing Wirral again.

Onwards and upwards - 4th team social game against Collegiate Vets next week might be just the tonic we need for some of us and for those players not getting much game time and/or wanting a more relaxed match than Div 3 West offers.
